Pragmatist and Systems thinker

Jean-Baptiste Gartner is Assistant professor in Health services management at the Department of Management, Faculty of Business Administration, Laval University, Quebec, Canada
After working for almost twelve years in the Luxembourg health system, he completed a Ph.D. on the theme of care pathways as a method of optimising the organisation of healthcare and services from the perspective of systems thinking and pragmatic sociology . Member of 4 research centres, he has co-created two international communities of research involving researchers from several French-speaking countries and patient partners, one on Care Pathways and the other on Learning Health Systems (https://ssats.ca/).
He develops several research projects in interdisciplinary management, using a strategic, organisational and operational approach. He teaches on MBA courses and is involved in the "Programme National en Développement des Leaders" of the province of Quebec.
